
Lowkber was founded in 2022, by Ellen Bargh, following a varied career.
After graduating with a BA (Hons) in Business Management, Ellen went on to work in Recruitment, Manufacturing (Production Planning & Production Buyer) and then up to General Manager level in Fuel Distribution. Her drive to improve the administration and the bookkeeping for her employers, lead her to achieve her AAT Level 3 qualification in Bookkeeping and start her own business.
In September 2025, following rapid business growth, Ellen was joined by Sarah Alpe, a qualified Accountant. Sarah is an accomplished senior ACA accountant with over 12 year’s experience. With Sarah onboard, the business can continue growing by offering a full service, including taxation, for our clients.
Both Ellen and Sarah are passionate about helping individuals and businesses improve and understand their finances, and at the same time streamline processes so that our clients can concentrate on what they do best – their work!
Agriculture, agricultural related industries and rural businesses are our passion. Both Ellen and Sarah come from an agricultural background and we understand the pressures that the rural economies are facing. Ellen is also a member of IAgSA (Institue of Agricultural Secretaries and Administrators), who is a professional organisation whose members offer a wide range of services to farming and rural businesses in the UK. IAgSA is respected throughout the farming and rural business industry.
We work with QuickBooks, Sage and Xero accounts packages and can offer discounted rates for you for these packages.
We are fully insured, registered with The ICB for AML regulations, and also are registered with the ICO.
